Organic Rainbow Trout
Our trout are reared in sparkling spring water which flows through organic Watercress beds that enrich the water with natural food such a shrimp that are a wonderful supplement to the fish’s diet. Because our fish eat live food they live a more active life and not being fed coloured dye their flesh is pale and firm. In fact it is thought by many to be the best tasting Trout in the country. To conform to Organic standards our fish are all Diploid (normal Male or Female).
Because our stocking levels are not intensive our fish remain healthy. In fact we have never needed to use antibiotics.
We believe that the wonderful taste & texture of our fish is due not just to their diet including live food, but because they live a healthy and active life.
