Started in 1996 by Eleanor & Tony Free Purely Organic was one of the first schemes of it’s kind. It started as a vegetable and dry goods box Scheme. Purely Organic was not like other organic vegetable schemes of the time. Customers were able to make their choice from a list which included over 1,500 organic grocery items. Purely Organic progressed from that initial scheme to shops in Devizes, Frome and Bath until in december 1999 they took over an Organic Trout Farm in Longbridge Deverill near Warminster in Wiltshire. The Farm includes a shop which is busy 7 days a week all year round selling the full range of organic food items with fresh Bread baked Daily. Purely organic now sells through The farm Shop but also through mail order and Farmers markets
